Kailey's legs dangled a foot off the ground. She was on her Firebolt, one arm around Sarah's waist, the other hand on the broom so she didn't lose control of it. Sarah sat in front of her, holding onto the broom too. Kailey flew up slowly, keeping a protective arm around Sarah. Sarah squealed in delight and clapped her hands, grabbing the broom again almost instantly. Kailey smiled. Sarah didn't seem like her baby cousin anymore, she seemed more like her daughter, and Kailey took care of her so well that anyone else could see she felt that way. Kailey began to sing to Sarah, still keeping a firm hold on her. "On the wings of a snow white dove, he sends his pure sweet love, a sign from above, on the wings of a dove, when troubles surround us, when evil comes, the body grows weak, the spirit grows numb, he sends down his love, on the wings of a dove, on the wings of a snow white dove, he sends his pure sweet love, a sign from above, on the wings of a dove...."

Evi walked to the quidditch pitch, she always liked to come here to hang out, read or think. She looked up into the sky and saw Kailey, "Hey Kailey!" she called and waved.

Kailey looked up, seeing Evangeline. She quickly landed, balancing Sarah on her hip, swinging her broom over the opposite shoulder. "Evangeline! Oh! You haven't met Sarah!" She gasped, gesturing towards the three year old on her hip pulling on her necklace.

"Oh my gosh!" Evi said excitedly, "She's so cute!! Is this your cousin?" Evi had heard Kailey maybe a year ago say something about her cousin Sarah.

"First off, you must be blinder than a bat not to see that we're down here on the ground. Second, we're all purebloods, including Sarah." Kailey said, indicating the child on her hip. Her voice was venomously calm and quiet, which instantly made Sarah look around in alarm. "Carebear, who's she?" Sarah asked, pointing a small hand at Pansy. "She's the type of girl that you'll never become." Kailey answered.

Kailey forced a dry, dangerous laugh. "My baby will never be a Slytherin. She's already set her heart on becoming a Ravenclaw, and I'm not going to stop her. She's smart enough to be a Ravenclaw."

"Just because we're pureblood doesn't mean we have to be stuck up, pug faced b*tches who find pleasure in making others miserable! We dont worship a shriveled up jerk who calls himself the most powerful wizard on earth!!"

Benjamin was walking through the hallways when a certain argument reached his ears. It was three girls, two he recognized, and one he didn't. "That bitch," he seethed, upon hearing Pansy insult his girlfriend. Wait.. girlfriend? Yeah, defiinetly. He cocked his head to hear which direction the voices were coming from, and he stomped across the field to them. Then Kailey exploded at Pansy, making him think twice about stepping closer. Then he laughed. "Now, now love, let her go. Save your sweet voice for me would you?"

Kailey would have glared at him, if he could see it. "She insulted me and Sarah, and she's insulted you loads of times! She's not getting away with it." Kailey said, voice still raised. Sarah started to cry.

He heard Sarah's cry and immediately squatted low to the ground, his arms outstretched. "Where are you butterfly (his new name for her), come to me..." He completely forgot Pansy, but put a mental note in the back of his mind to go curse her later. Finding Sarah he held her close and stroked her hair. "Your mum's fine, I'm fine, don't cry butterfly..." He attempted to sing but all that came out sounded like a cat's tail being run over. Slowly. Sarah laughed. "See now? All better, huh?"

Kailey bit her lip to avoid crying. She wasn't even holding Sarah anymore to comfort her.

Ben's ears twitched. "Oh come now, love, you know I was only joking..." Still hearing her stifled cries, he sighed and became serious. "Forgive me if I said or did something out of turn... He still cradled the softly crying Sarah in his arms as he spoke.

Kailey walked over to him and wrapped one arm around his neck. The other arm went under Sarah, so that their arms criscrossed under her. "Mommy, Joey's mommy and daddy wear rings. Why don't you and daddy?" Kailey resisted a laugh and turned to Ben. "Yes Ben, why is it we dont have rings?"

Ben shrugged. "You never asked." Then he laughed a little to himself. "My parents aren't against rings, but they'll only let me go as far as bonding until I can legally use magic outside of school." Then he thought some more. "And... that actually isn't too far from now. I'll be seventeen next May. So," he said, twirling a lock of her hair, "gold or silver?"
