Ben was sitting there on a stool by an open trunk behind an old, faded oak cabinet. In his hands was a leather-bound book, also old and worn. It appeared that apart from some of the student's things, lots of stuff down here was old and worn. Yet surprisingly, it was never dusty. Perhaps people didn't forget about this place entirely.
The basement of Hogwarts had many rooms and hallways, and this was one he knew quite well, for he often came here to explore whenever Kailey, his betrothed, was unavailable. But then his head shot up, Someone was coming.

Keira walked into the Basement and immediately looked around for someone to talk to. She noticed someone in the distance. As she got closer she saw they were reading a book. "Hey," she said sitting next to him. "I'm Keira. You are?" she asked curiously. ooc: The Basement is actually a club not the Hogwarts basement. It's summer so nothing is at Hogwarts on this site.

OOC: I got it. Although it does make it much more fun... *shrugs* A club it is then.
Ben blinked. "Benjamin Taylor, pleasure." His voice was a little hesitant and his eyes slightly wide. "And what brings you down into this dark, lonely place, Keira?"

Keira shrugged. "Dunno," she replied. "Just wanted to get away from things I guess." There was a lot going on in the wizard war. Everyone knew there was a war coming. People were scared. Keira admitted she was scared but she was also going to help fight. That's the reason why she joined the DA in school and is now part of the Order. She wanted to help defeat Voldemort and she didn't care if she made it out of this war alive or not.

"And it's the war too, isn't it? I mean we all know it's coming... I've been in denial since first year, but when Cedric was ki-" a growl ,"-murdered, it changed my whole perspective on things. There was no more denying it." He played with the golden buckle on the leather strap holding the book closed. Then he muttered softly, "Yet life moves on... nothing butour mindsets have been altered." He was rather solemn about it too, but not overly so.
